Valentinalovescupcakes
My name is Valentina. I was born in Caracas. I lived, loved, celebrated and agonized in my beloved hometown until 2003. I am travel and documentary photographer, creative writer, fan of airplanes and mass transportation, and a daydreamer.

I daydream way too much.  I order, photograph and eat.  In that order, always.

I moved to Atlanta, GA and got an MFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. Previous education includes an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications, a Law Degree and Literature studies. I began my affair with photography at the prestigious Roberto Mata Taller de Fotografía in Caracas. I have also attended several workshops at the Summer Writing Festival, at the University of Iowa.

I am fortunate to be able to jump around the globe one or twice a year. I have traveled thoroughly as a photographer, and as a curious mind. I have documentary work from Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Costa Rica, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, United Kingdom, Venezuela and the US. My work has been shown in several cities in the United States and in Caracas.

Currently, I live and work in Seattle, WA, surrounded by good, warm coffee, chocolate, farmers market, great chefs and food lovers and water. My studio is in Eastlake, Seattle.
